Tudor Building Group collaborated with architects, Allard Ward, on the development of two townhomes on a vacant lot acquired through an estate sale. This proved to be one of our most challenging endeavors, given the unique site constraints. Both townhomes were terraced into the hillside, accessible solely from the alley, as the steep front of the property rendered construction access impractical. The property falls within a historic district, requiring careful navigation of property conditions and a lengthy process to secure historic approval for the design.
The design of the townhomes leaned towards a modern aesthetic, featuring a layout with a bedroom and office space on the first floor, while the main floor housed a two-car garage and living spaces. The rooftop deck offers a delightful experience akin to a treehouse nestled in the heart of a historic neighborhood.
